China Buffet ***

As I entered the personality-lacking dining area over done in marble, it was nice enough to not distract me from food and conversation. Unfortunately, probably because they were closing in an hour, the waitress continuouly pushed the buffet offering a 10% and later and 20% discount to order the buffet special.


I took the offer, my date did not. Sadly, the food was nothing extraordinary or outside of the typically offered selections from most Americanized-Chinese restaurants. It is also evident, that this local chain of four is looking for something other than to push the culinary arts. I suggest going when you are truly strapped for cash (go within an hour of closing - you may be offered a discount as I did) or with friends since this is not a necessarily romantic place for a date.

The Bad:

The waitress, as nice as she could be, appeared to be under pressure to sell the buffet, discounting it twice in the process. Great for the wallet, but insistent people can ruin the experience sometimes.
