Salem Beer Works ***

A landmark in downtown Salem, Beer Works offers a great variety of beer and food. Featuring an outside deck and a micro-brewery, SBW's brick walls lined with photos and local memorabilia. They offer a couple of pool tables, but get in line. We went there for lunch to avoid the night crowd.

Curiously, there was no host, but a waitress showed us to our table. Although it was not busy whatsoever, we found ourselves waiting a long time for service, including about 10 minutes for our check! The service was good - when we had it. We enjoyed the large Cambridge Burger - their most popular burger according to our waiter, a Spicy Chicken Sandwich and Apple Strudel. All were delicious, although the strudel was slightly over baked.
