Renzo Pizzaria ***

I had passed by Renzo's a few times thinking "it looks new and expensive", until I took a menu and saw they are reasonably priced. I was pleasantly surprised. It faces Revere Beach and on a nice summer night, eating out on their sidewalk is probably quite nice.

The décor is modern and the open brick oven adds to the upscale ambience they're trying to create. I found the floor plan a little crowded, but workable. Dimly lit, there is room for improvement. I found it curious that the chairs have minor rips and holes... part of the theme? I loved the Italian style pizza and ate the Margherita, a Neapolitan pizza with fresh basil sprinkled on top.

Ambience: Casual, Romantic. I found the romantic aspect suffers due to the loud and close bar.

Cuisine: Italian, Seafood, Pizza

The Bad:
Dirty, smelly bathroom
Proximity of bar "crowds" dining area (you'll be okay once you're seated)

The Good:
Service: Average
Cleanliness: The dining area was clean
Portions: Average
Parking: Street Parking, Free Parking
Accessibility: Handicap
Other: Kid friendly, Late night
People: A bit of everything

Price: Cheap, pizza ranges from $9-$14, everything else, except seafood, is under $11. See their kid's menu.

Date Rate: Nice decor, but we can do better
