Sawasdee Danvers ****

The latest addition to Danvers Square, this Thai restaurant is immaculate in appearance and full of budget conscious entrees. Sawasdee, meaning "hello" and "goodbye" according to the hostess/waitree is soothing to the eyes, one can not help but to relax to the beautiful Asian decor and sweet aroma coming from the kitchen

Discluding I Pazzi, Sawasdee Danvers is the only other restaurant in Danvers Square with a wait staff. Sawasdee is pleasant and romantic enough to visit on a regular basis, yet affordable.

Ambience: Romantic

Cuisine: Thai

The Bad:
Friendly waitress, but had to call her over a couple times (although no one else was dining at the time). I think she was slightly bored
No bread? Actually, it's not tradition in the Thai culture
Most dishes are fried, or even worse, deep fried - although very delicious

The Good:
Centrally located with plenty of parking behind building
Emaculately clean
Relaxing ambience
Food is great! I tried the Sweet and Sour special and also tried the Ginger and Scallion with chicken

Price: entrĂ©es $6.95 (@ lunch time) - $14.75 (@ dinner time). I would go for lunch to keep it under $30 for two persons. A Friday night might run you between $40 - $50 with drinks

Date rate: A definite lunch date for the budget conscious

Overall Value: 4 Stars!
