This isolated restaurant appears on the south bound side of Route 1-A, awkward to get to, especially if you're coming from the south. It rests in an inlet with water on the backside and next to a Dunkin' Donuts. Although its appeal is pretty neutral, it does offer a unique combination of Italian and seafood dishes.Although seafood is always a bit expensive, these prices are slightly too high for the average person to go regularly, best kept to special occasions and the sort. The water just outside the window does make dining more pleasurable and the food is delicious.
Ambience: Casual
Cuisine: Italian, Seafood, Traditional New England
The Bad:
Although the bar is nice, the exterior and main dining room need a fresh coat of paint...out dated
Location is nice because of the water, but bad because there is only one way to get there
The Good:
Free, adjacent parking
Close to ATMs, etc.
Portions are decently sized
Service is at least average
Cleanliness is about average
Price: appetizers range from $7.99-$16.99, entrees range from $13.99-$27.99 for the Fisherman's Platter. I'd stick to the Dinner-for-Two special.
Date Rate: Only on a special occasion and on a clear star-filled night. Get a window by the water.
Overall value: 3 Stars!
