Su - Changs Restaurant ****

I remember back in 1993, when I went to the City of Peabody Council to get approval to start my livery service. I was only 23, but I still remember the Council hearing the petition to open Su - Chang's in the same location as the Proctor House was. Believe it or not, until now, I had never gone to Su - Chang's.

Su Waite (half of the Su - Chen) even came over to say hello and see how we were doing by kindly explaining authenticity of this Chinese (Cantonese) food versus 'American' Chinese food. She mentioned how each plate is individually prepared from scratch for each customer - no frozen or premade dishes ready for splicing out.

The Bad:
The decor was a bit plain
The utensils appear old, should be updated
Bathroom needs some cleaning
The Good:
Authentic Cantonese food
No 'Musac', tranquil setting
Sufficient parking
Moderately priced
Delicious and health oriented dishes

Price: Su - Chang's has quality and tasty entrees that won't bust your budget. Entrees are mostly under $15

Date rate: Good for a first teen date or a casual adult date. Also, family oriented.
